We understand how time consuming and special documenting your baby's childhood can be, so we make quality our utmost priority.
At Makia, we use state of the art 6 colour printers that do your journal photos justice. We want to give you the quality that you and your family deserve.
After you choose your journal and sign up with an account, you are prompted to set up your baby's profile. We don't take any excessive information, just your baby's name (or what you nickname Bump) and birthday if they are already earthside. Multiple babies to treasure? Don't worry, you can add another journal in the same account later on!
Once everything is set up you can fill out the journal pages, jot down quick thoughts, write a letter to your baby and more.
Everything is in your phone's browser, so there’s no need to download an app! However we do give you the option to add a web app link to your home screen after signing up for quick access to your journal.

Makia the Baby Journal is a web app. You can access it on your phone, tablet or computer. The experience is the same on every device.
Currently we are only serving Australia and New Zealand. We are working towards serving every parent all over the world at this very minute.
Our premium quality printed journals are A4 size - 297mm (W) x 210mm (H).
They are made with high quality linen hard covers and 170-190 GSM Japanese satin paper. These specifications are truly the best, designed to help your memories shine.
Whilst filling out your journal your account will remain active. We keep your account active for three months after you complete all of your journals, otherwise we close it after three months of inactivity.
Makia The Baby Journal is currently available for Australia and New Zealand only. Shipping is free for both countries.
Production time can take up to 14 days. Delivery time is in addition to production time and is dependent on Australia Post. Allow 3-5 days for non metropolitan and remote locations.
Once dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number. Use this to search the status of your order on the Australia Post website.
If there are issues with the design of your journal, please check the design on your digital copy or in the app before contacting us. Unfortunately, if the digital design matches the design in your printed and delivered journal, we cannot replace them for free. Instead, we recommend that you duplicate your preferred design in Makia The Baby Journal’s web app if your account is still open, make any corrections, and then reorder.

All orders are printed using state-of-the-art, high-resolution, 6 colour printing equipment on satin 170gsm and 170gsm stock. If you believe you've received a poorly printed order, please contact our customer service team and we will endeavour to help you.
We aim to deliver high-quality products to all of our customers. If you are unsatisfied with your order, we will work to resolve your issue as quickly as we can.
All Makia Journals are made to order, so it's rare that you will need to physically return a journal. Instead, we ask that you photograph the item in question and contact our customer service team to seek guidance on the possibility of a reprint.
We will repair or reprint any products with manufacturing faults, within standard production time. If we are unable to produce your product to a satisfactory standard we will process a refund for you. Orders with design, content or layout errors will not be replaced or refunded.
